Even as theatres across Tamil Nadu remain shut in protest against the entertainment double taxation, Lyca productions, which is currently producing Shankar’s 2.0 starring Rajinikanth, has invited theatre owners across Tamil Nadu tomorrow for a digital meet.
A source from the production house tells Silverscreen,”The makers have plans to release 2.0 in 3D. They will talk about digitalising theatres in the 3D format at the digital meet scheduled tomorrow.”
Raju Mahalingam, creative head of Lyca, also tweeted:
2.0 3D Digital Meet will take place on 5th of July(tomorrow) as planned. We request all theatre owners to bring their invites with them.

Starring Rajinikanth, 2.0 has music composed by AR Rahman. It also stars Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson and is scheduled to release early next year.
