Ever since the official announcement was made, there have been many speculations regarding Rajinikanth’s next film with director Pa Ranjith. In the latest, there are reports that Rajini’s character in the film is based on a real life Mafia don. A source close to the film unit revealed to IANS that Rajini’s character is called Kabaleeshwaran and the story is based on a don from Mylapore in Chennai. The source added that Kabali may be a likely title for the film.
There were reports earlier that the title Kannabiran was also being considered. The initial few minutes of the film will be set in Mylapore, and then, the film will move to Malaysia, said the source. Also starring Radhika Apte, Dhansikaa, Kalaiarasan ad Attakathi Dinesh, the film will have music by Santhosh Narayanan. The film is expected to go on floors on September 17.
