Actor Ram Charan is back in Hyderabad after shooting the first schedule of his next Telugu film, Dhruva, in Kashmir. The film is an official remake of the Tamil action-thriller Thani Oruvan (2015). Ram Charan plays a police officer in the film, and according to the filmmakers, will appear in a different look. The film’s first look is expected soon.

Dhruva, directed by Surender Reddy of Kick fame, will have Arvind Swamy reprising his role as the antagonist from Thani Oruvan, an affluent scientist with a cunning plan and IPS officer Mithran’s nemesis. Rakul Preet Singh will play the female lead, essaying Nayanthara’s role from the original.
Dhruva has thus far completed shooting for a few crucial scenes and a song in Kashmir. Produced by Allu Aravind under the Geetha Arts production house, the film’s next shooting schedule is yet to begin.
According to reports, the film is likely to release on 30 September this year.
