Actor Ram Charan’s Dhruva is all set to release on October 7. The film, which is the Telugu remake of Tamil film Thani Oruvan, will star Ram Charan and Rakul Preet. Actor Arvind Swamy will be reprising his iconic role of the antagonist from the original. The first posters of the film were released on the 15th of August.
The film is directed by Surender Reddy, whose previous films include Athidhi, Kick and Race Gurram. Dhruva is the 8th film of Reddy, and hence the number 8 is included in the film’s poster as well. The shooting of the film started in February this year and is expected to be wrapped up in September.
Amidst all this, director Mohan Raja who made Thani Oruvan had a completely different reason to celebrate this film:

At an event last year, Mohan Raja had remarked that Ram Charan was the perfect choice to play the lead in the remake.
The music of the film will be composed by Hip Hop Thamizha, who composed the music for the original as well. PS Vinod handles the cinematography. Actor Nassar will reprise his role as the chief minister while Posani Murali Krishna will play Arvind Swami’s father in the film. Actor Navdeep will be acting in a supporting role. The film will be produced by Allu Aravind under his banner, Geetha Arts.
