The viral video of Ranveer Singh imitating Shahrukh Khan from the Tu Mere Saamne song from Darr in the Swiss Alps has paid off. The actor, known for his uninhibited attitude, has now been chosen as the Indian Ambassador for Switzerland Tourism. The 31-year-old actor will be in charge of promoting Switzerland Tourism’s campaign for 2017 that has the tagline – Nature wants you back.

This summer, the actor went on a holiday to Switzerland, where he tried many adventure sports. Speaking about his appointment, Ranveer said, “I had such a great time on my trip to Switzerland this summer! I did some crazy things like sky diving and paragliding. Now that I am the official Brand Ambassador of Switzerland Tourism, I am just raring to go back in the winter and see what it looks like in the snow. I can’t wait to try the slopes of St. Moritz and Titlis Engelberg. It will be so much fun.”

The actor is awaiting the release of his next film Befikre, directed by Aditya Chopra co starring Vaani Kapoor. The film is set to release on the 9th of December. Following which, he will join the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, where he will play the role of Alauddin Khilji, the second Sultan of the Khilji Dynasty. The film will also feature Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles.
