Rohit Shetty has confirmed that he will direct Ranveer Singh in his new film. The director told DNA:
“I am going to direct Ranveer very soon. The film will go on floors after he completes Padmavati and Zoya Akhtar’s film. It is going to be a raw, action film.”

Shetty and Singh had earlier collaborated for an advertisement. Since then, rumours of their doing a film together have been doing the rounds.
Currently, Singh is working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. He has a negative role in it. He also has Gully Boy with Zoya Akhtar, in which he plays an aspiring rapper.
Meanwhile, Shetty is working on the fourth installment of the Golmaal franchise. Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra are the leads.
