Ranveer Singh Stands By Padmavati Team
Ranveer Singh at an event in Mumbai broke his silence on the opposition mounting against Padmavati. Pledging his support for his director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the movie, the actor said that he is 200 percent with the film.
“I am 200 percent with the film and I stand by it as well as Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Given that it is very sensitive time right now, I have been specifically asked not to say anything. Whatever official communication with regards to the film needs to be made, you will receive it from the producers,” he said.

Sasikumar’s Associate Producer And Relative Commits Suicide
Director M Sasikumar’s associate and relative, Ashok Kumar, was found dead in his apartment in Chennai. Reports suggest that he committed suicide after he was unable to pay loan sharks. In his suicide note, Kumar alleged that he had been harassed by a loan shark for a while, blaming film financier Madurai Anbuchezhian for the last seven years.
Sasikumar and a few members in the industry such as Ameer and Samuthrakani have filed complaint against Anbuchezhian at the Valsaravakkam police station in Chennai.
“He was my cousin. He was like my shadow, he was a co-producer. He used to manage my film and financial affairs,” Sasikumar said. Director Ameer, has meanwhile blamed Anbucheziyan for Kumar’s death.
His suicide rings memories of a family setting themselves on fire in Tirunelveli after they were unable to pay back loan sharks.
Meanwhile, Vishal, the president of Tamil Nadu Producers’ Council and Secretary of Nadigar Sangam, has condoled the death and requested producers to approach the council if they need any help. He has requested police to consider this as a murder and not a suicide.
The industry, too, have paid their respects to the late producer.

David Cassidy, Teen Icon Of The 70s, Dies At 67
David Cassidy, who rose to fame in the 70s as lead singer of The Patridge Family, died on Tuesday. He was 67.
Scriptwriter and actor Posani Krishna Murali lashed out at IT minister Nara Lokesh’s comment on the Nandi Awards controversy. Lokesh lashed out at critics of the recently concluded Nandi Awards, saying that such criticism was coming from non-resident Andhras.
The awards were announced based on recommendations of the jury. Critics alleged that the ruling party influenced the jury members and gave away Nandi awards to a few undeserving actors and movies for the year 2014.

The Times of India quoted the minister as saying that most leaders opposing the awards have no stake in AP. “Those who are sitting in Hyderabad are criticising the state government. Some leaders, who come by flight in morning hold a protest and go back to their places by evening. They have no stakes in state.”
Speaking on the same, Posani Krishna Murali said that if the awards are not cancelled by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, then he won’t touch another Nandi Award again. “Many people feel that there is a lot of injustice in the selection process. I request CM Chandrababu Naidu cancel all the awards and redo the process through IVRC method. Even if I don’t get any award, I don’t mind. If he doesn’t cancel these awards, I won’t touch the Nandi Award again in my entire life. If the government corrects its mistakes, I would be happy about it,” he was quoted as saying.
Medium Post On Gal Gadot Resurfaces, Accuses The Actress Of Siding With Rapist Friend
A post on Medium, which was earlier taken down, has resurfaced again as a cached version. The anonymous user accused Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot of victim shaming. The user alleges that she was Gadot’s roommate in Italy and how their common friend was raped by Gadot’s male friend.
“Gal is more than a bully; she is a predator who enables predators. Thirteen years ago, I shared an apartment with Gal Gadot for two months in Milan, Italy. Several young girls lived in the building, all under contract with the same modeling management company.”
When a common, 15-year-old friend of theirs was raped, Gal allegedly said “that the girl was stupid — for going to the wrong club, and for trusting the man who brought her there.” But soon, the writer had a similar experience with the Wonder Woman star.
