Cinematographer R Rathnavelu has been roped in to handle the cinematography for Ram Charan’s upcoming film. The project will be helmed by director Sukumar, and will begin in late December this year. Rathnavelu is currently busy filming Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 and will join Ram Charan’s film after finishing his duties.
Sukumar’s film with Ram Charan is said to be a period drama set in a village. Producers Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar and CV Mohan of Mythri Movie Makers will finance the project.
Talks are on with leading actresses for the female lead in the project.
Rathnavelu has been part of many big-budget releases in the Telugu film industry. He handled cinematography for Mahesh Babu’s 1-Nenokkadine, Brahmotsavam and Jagadam. His work in Tamil films such as Enthiran and Aayiram also fetched him much acclaim.
