Ravi Teja’s representative has refuted reports that the actor has a drug problem. Speaking with Silverscreen, Teja’s representative said that Teja does not have a drug problem.
Earlier, ten Telugu film personalities, including actors Teja, Puri Jagannadh, P Navdeep, Tarun Kumar, A Tanish, and P Subbaraju were ordered to appear before the Special Investigation Team of the Drug Enforcement Wing in connection with a drugs bust case.
Others under the scanner include actresses Charmee Kaur and Mumait Khan, cinematographer Shyam K Naidu, singer Ananda Krishna Nandu, and art director Chinna N Dharmarao.
Charmee, Mumait, and Shyam Naidu have all denied any involvement in the drug racket.
Meanwhile, G Rajendra Prasad, President of the Actor and Movie Artist Association (MAA) said:

“Some B and C grade artists are addicted to drugs due to their frustration at not achieving their goals. They should not opt for immoral things. I will counsel the young generation if needed.” His statements came during a visit to Tirumala on Friday.
Asked about rumours of drug addiction among film personalities in the Telugu industry, Rajendra Prasad said, “As a responsible artist, I have to open up on the issue. As per the previous and present experience, we can see that no first class actor is involved.”
