The upcoming film is likely to be a romantic drama, and will be produced by Autumn Breeze Filmz. Mane told The Times of India, “All I can say right now is that the subject is as close to everyone’s heart and it is a story of a new unfolding journey of relationship. I’m sure the audience will like this movie too.”
Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, who has starred in Marathi films like Surajya (2014) and Mr. and Mrs. Sadachari (2016), has never had a leading role in a Hindi film. He has, however, played supporting roles in several Hindi films, including Bajirao Mastani, Hunterrr, and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
Tatwawaadi told IANS (as reported by Mid-Day), “As soon as I heard the narration, I was hooked on to it, it’s a feel-good film and will appeal to all. I have always wanted to work with Makarand Mane as I like his sensibilities with the way he deals with the subject.”

Mane had earlier won the National Film Award in the Best Feature Film in Marathi category for Ringan (2015). Ringan is about farmers’ struggles and follows a father and son as they travel to the pilgrimage town of Pandharpur in Maharashtra. The film also won Mane the Best Debut Director and Best Story awards at the Filmfare Awards Marathi 2018.
The upcoming film also marks the second collaboration between Tatwawaadi and Patil, who co-starred in Hutatma, a 2019 Marathi web series that was set against the backdrop of the Samyukta Maharashtra Movement, a movement that advocated for a Marathi-speaking state.
Details on the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be announced.
