The trailer of RK Nagar, starring Vaibhav, Sana Althaf and Sampathraj, was released on Monday. The film is directed by Saravanarajan and produced by Venkat Prabhu’s Black Ticket Company.

Earlier, the film was pegged to be a political drama dealing with issues that cropped up during the recent RK Nagar bypolls, late CM Jayalalithaa’s constituency. The trailer, however, reveals a different story. It clearly says that the film is not a political drama and has nothing to do with the bypolls.
The trailer starts off with the glimpse of politicians giving speeches during the RK Nagar byelection after which comes the disclaimer that it’s a commercial thriller, similar to Venkat Prabhu’s Saroja and not a political drama.
As shown in the trailer, the film is based on a video of girl taken using a hidden camera, the video goes viral which leads to the death of the girl. The film is expected to address social issues related to technology.
