Rockline Venkatesh, who produced Rajinikanth’s Lingaa (2014) and last year’s top grossing film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, will make Kannada remakes of two Dhanush films. The producer recently purchased the rights of Velaiyilla Pattadhari and Visaaranai. Velaiyilla Pattadhari, which starred Dhanush, is one of the actor’s most successful films. Visaranai was co produced by Dhanush. Visaranai has won several accolades, including the National Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil.

Roclkine Venkatesh told the Times Of India, “I bought the rights of both these films recently, and will be presenting them in Sandalwood. The details regarding the cast and crew of the films will be announced later. Apart from Kannada, I will produce the Hindi remake of Visaaranai, too.“
Venkatesh has also reportedly been in talks with Vetrimaaran to produce a Tamil film. When contacted, Venkatesh said, “I have been discussing scripts with many directors, including with Vetri Maaran. However, it is too early to confirm anything at the moment.”
