Anushka Shetty-starrer, Rudhramadevi, which is all set to release worldwide on June 26, has its censor formalities complete, and received a ‘U’ certificate from the members of the censor board. Rudhramadevi is touted to be the first Stereo-graphic 3D feature film in India. The period film has Anushka playing Rudhrama Devi, a 13th century queen of the Kakatiya Dynasty. The Tamil trailer of the film released earlier this week showcasing grand, CG-laden visuals.
The movie has an ensemble cast that includes Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Nithya Menen, Catherine Tresa, Krishnam Raju, Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, Adithya Menen and singer Baba Sehgal. The art direction is handled by Thota Tharani and Neeta Lulla has designed the costumes for the film.
Gunasekhar, who earlier directed Mahesh Babu’s Okkadu, has helmed this Telugu-Tamil bilingual. Ilaiyaraaja has composed the songs and background score for Rudhrama Devi.
