Saamy 2, the sequel to the 2003 hit Saamy, will feature Vikram in two roles. Vikram and Trisha reprise their roles from the original film, while a second role for Vikram sees him paired with Keerthi Suresh.
A report in Dinamalar says that one of Vikram‘s roles would be that of the original character, Aarusaamy – a conscientious police officer battling corruption. The report adds that the second character will be a younger Vikram, who is a police officer, too. (Note: The Dinamalar story has some plot spoilers)

Keerthi Suresh will also join the film, and according to a story in Sify, she will come on board after shooting for her film with Pawan Kalyan. Sify quotes a source as saying, “Trisha reprises her role from the first part, but Keerthy Suresh has a crucial character in the sequel; she will have more screen space with Vikram.”
Saamy 2 will be produced by Shibu Thameens, who also produced Vikram -starrer, Irumugan. It will be the third collaboration between Vikram, Trisha, and Hari. Harris Jayaraj is the music composer, and Priyan returns as the cinematographer. Shoot will begin late June or early July, according to reports.
