Amala Paul has roped in two of the industry’s best designers — Anita Dongre and Sabyasachi Mukherjee — to do her engagement and wedding outfits. Anita Dongre is designing Amala’s gown which the actress will wear during the engagement ceremony in Kerala while her wedding and reception outfits are courtesy, Sabyasachi.
Reportedly, the Anita Dongre creation is a white gown; and the reception in Thiruvananthapuram on the same evening will see her in a lehenga. As for the wedding ceremony to be held in Chennai on June 12, Amala was apparently quite keen on a traditional Kanjeevaram sari. The sari is made to order, we hear, from the weavers in Kanchipuram and features “a special element” which will be revealed only on the wedding day. Later, she will don a contemporary outfit designed by Sabyasachi for the wedding reception.
While the engagement ceremony will be a family affair, the wedding and reception to be held in Chennai has an exhaustive guest list.
