Saif Ali Khan will be returning as Boris in the sequel to the 2013 zombie stoner comedy Go Goa Gone, which was directed by Raj and D.K, according to DNA.
The actor was quoted as saying, “I will return as Boris in the sequel. But this time, I’ll be on a different mission. Raj and DK have found an interesting premise for the second installment, which is in sync with the first part. They are currently writing the script.”
While original cast members Kunal Khemu and Vir Das will also be a part of the sequel, there will be two new addition to the team. According to the report, the makers are looking for an A-list actress to play the female lead. The film will go on floors next January.
Raj and DK are known for making films like Go Goa Gone, Shor In The City and Happy Ending. Their last film was A Gentleman, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez.
Go Goa Gone is centered around three friends who go on a vacation to Goa. After a rather eventful rave party, they find themselves not only stranded on a remote island, but also surrounded and hunted by flesh-eating zombies. It was promoted as India’s first zombie comedy.
According to reports, made with an estimated budget of Rs 19 crores, the film managed to collect Rs 25 crores domestically and Rs 39 crores worldwide. Despite mixed reviews, the film has attained a cult status.

Saif, who was last seen in Kaalaakaandi, will be making his debut on the digital platform with Netflix’s web-series Sacred Games, also starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte. Helmed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, it’s a crime thriller based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 novel of the same name.
