After Bharat, the remake of Ode to My Father, Salman Khan will star in the remake of another Korean film Veteran. The movie will go on floors after the actor finishes shooting for Dabangg 3 and Inshallah.
Khan, currently promoting his home production Notebook, featuring newcomers Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl, was quoted by Network 18 as saying “I am doing ‘Veteran’. Atul has the rights. It’s a nice film. We will do this film after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film.”
Veteran, directed by Ryoo Seung-wan, is an action comedy that released in 2015. The movie revolved around a detective tracking a millionaire running a crime syndicate. Apart from winning multiple awards, the film went on to become a huge success at the box office.
Khan’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri has reportedly acquired the rights to the remake from the production house CJ Entertainment. Touted to be a story of good versus bad, the movie will feature a young actor as the antagonist and will be a blend of action, comedy and thrills, stated a report.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is currently wrapping up Bharat. The film is directed by Ali Abbas Khan and also stars Katrina Kaif. Bharat marks the third collaboration between Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Ali Abbas Zafar. Zafar directed Khan in Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Katrina Kaif was part of Tiger Zinda Hai and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.
