Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who recently watched the preview cut of Pawan Kumar’s upcoming Kannada film U Turn, is in talks with Kumar for a Tamil-Telugu remake of the film. Samantha visited the director’s Bangalore office with actor Naga Chaitanya to watch the film, go through the script and discuss a possible remake. Talking to The New Indian Express, Pawan said, “Samantha spoke to me after watching the trailer, went through the script and watched the preview cut. We have been discussing how the remake should be if at all it happens.”
Pawan Kumar added that he was looking for suitable producers for the remake. “Samantha wanting to do our Kannada film in Tamil and Telugu is good news. But, we are still looking for a producer. I will be able to officially make an announcement once everything gets finalised,” he said. Pawan Kumar is best known for directing the acclaimed psychological thriller Lucia (2013).
