Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s engagement to Naga Chaithanya was ‘magical and surreal’, a source close to the actress told Silverscreen.
Dressed in a bespoke Koecsh saree, actress Samantha and her actor beau Chaithanya got engaged to each other, in front of a select group of family and friends.
“The way they looked at each other, it was pure magic. This was a couple really in love,” a photographer at the engagement told Silverscreen.

“It was an inter-faith ceremony. A pastor was present, as was a Hindu priest. Everything was done in a serene and calm way. There was real respect for both their individual cultures, and backgrounds,” the photographer added.

The cuisine was a mix of Tamil as well as Telugu cuisine, a nod to their respective roots.
Among the guest list for the evening were stylist Neeraja Kona, actor Rahul Ravindran, and the families of Samantha and Chaithanya. Also present was actor Akhil Akkineni and his fiance – fashion designer Shriya Bhupal.
A spokesperson for the actress has said that Samantha and Chaithanya will wed in December this year.
