Kannada actresses, Samyukta Hegde and Rashmika Mandanna, known for their roles in the campus rom-com from last year, Kirik Party, are set to star in the Telugu remake of the film. According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the makers will finalise the third actress soon and then begin shooting.
“Both of them are playing the same roles they played in the original, but the makers have changed the nativity completely to suit the Telugu audience,” a source told DC.

Nikhil Siddharth, who shot to fame with Sekhar Kammula’s 2007 campus drama Happy Days, plays the hero in this campus film too.
Kirik Party, directed by Rishab Shetty, had Rakshit Shetty play the hero. The film won several awards including Best Film at IIFA Utsavam this year, and also won the Karnataka State Film Awards for Best Family Entertainer.
The Telugu version will be bankrolled by Anil Sunkara’s AK Entertainments, and directed by Sharan Koppisetti.
