Sanjana Sanghi Cast Opposite Sushant Singh Rajput In The Bollywood Remake Of ‘The Fault In Our Stars’

The Hindi adaptation of John Green’s young adult fiction The Fault in Our Stars, will star Sanjana Sanghi opposite Sushant Singh Rajput.


The remake marks the directorial debut of Mukesh Chhabra and will be produced by Fox Star Studios.

“I met Sanjana first during the casting of Rockstar. She was a young and dynamic girl with great energy. After a few years she reconnected for a few ad casting jobs — she came across as a mature young lady and to my surprise she was a fabulous actor,” Chhabra said in a statement.

“I was instantly sure that I would love to make a film with her one day. Once The Fault in Our Stars script was ready, she fitted right in, the perfect face,” he added.

Sanjana, who was previously seen in films like Rockstar, Hindi Medium, and Fukrey Returns will be playing the lead role for the first time. The music will be composed by AR Rahman.

The Hollywood version of The Fault In Our Stars was directed by Josh Boone and featured Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort in their roles of Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters respectively.
