Vijay’s film with A.R Murugadoss is slated to release this Diwali. Gearing up for the film’s release, the team is headed to Las Vegas to shoot a few scenes. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who wrapped up her portions for Sandakozhi 2, tweeted out the information on her way to Las Vegas.

Pegged to be a political thriller, the film also stars Keerthy Suresh in the lead, and actors Pala Karuppiah, Radha Ravi and Yogi Babu. The team has completed shooting their previous schedule in Chennai and some crucial sequences in Kolkata, now they are headed to the US for a week-long schedule. In Chennai, the makers have shot important scenes in the Sun Network, Andhra Club premises, and the airport. The team will also shoot a song in the US. It is also reported that almost 80 percent of the film has been completed.
According to The Times of India, Varalaxmi will reportedly play the role of the Chief Minister’s daughter in the film. Actor Radharavi is playing the antagonist. AR Rahman has composed the music for the film.

Produced by Sun Pictures with a massive budget, the film will have a solo release on Diwali. Ajith Kumar’s Viswasam and Suriya’s NGK was earlier scheduled to release during Diwali. However, the former will now have a Pongal release, while the final date for Suriya’s film is yet to be announced.
Sarkar has been getting attention for all the wrong reasons. The poster of the actor lighting a cigarette had ruffled a lot of feathers. Former Union health minister and PMK leader Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss was one of the first ones to react. He slammed Vijay and the film’s director AR Murugadoss for promoting smoking. A PIL was also filed against the actor and the director, following which the posters were removed from all platforms, including Vijay deleting his tweet.
