Sasikumar’s next film, titled Kidaari, will be directed by Prasath Murugesan, a former associate of director Vasantha Balan. This will be Sasikumar’s third release of the year, after Thaarai Thappattai and Vetrivel.
‘Kidaari’ is also the name of Sasikumar’s character in the film. ‘Kidaari’ was initially going to be the title of actor-director Samuthirakani’s ambitious period film, but he subsequently decided to give the title to Sasikumar. Nikhila Vimal, who had played a supporting role in Vetrivel, plays the female lead in Kidaari. Darbuka Siva, who had acted in the heist action-thriller Rajathandhiram, will make his debut as a music composer. SR Kadhir will handle the cinematography, and Sasikumar will produce the film under his Company Productions banner.
