Actors Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor may collaborate with filmmaker Karan Johar for a film. According to an Asian Age report, Karan has a story ready bearing these two actors in mind.
“He wanted to bring the two together, not only because it made casting sense but also because he has an idea for a script, where SRK and RK fit in perfectly,” a source told AA.
The three of them came together for Karan Johar’s film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, with Ranbir playing the lead and SRK in a cameo. That aside, as a director, Karan has collaborated with SRK five times including his directorial venture Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), and My Name Is Khan (2010).
Ranbir and Karan’s first collaboration was last year’s Diwali release, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which also featured Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai, and Fawad Khan.

Meanwhile, a source close to Karan’s Dharma Productions told Pinkvilla that the news of the three of them collaborating are false. “It’s a dream cast but unfortunately it’s not true. The rumours are baseless. Ranbir is doing only one film for Dharma as of now and that is Ayan Mukerji’s next,” the source was quoted as saying.
Ranbir Kapoor, who is currently shooting for Sanjay Dutt’s biopic directed by Rajkumar Hirani, will begin filming Ayan Mukerji’s movie when this project is complete.
SRK, on the other hand, is busy with his upcoming movie directed by Imtiaz Ali. The untitled movie stars Anushka Sharma, and is slated to release in August this year.
