‘Shailaja Reddy Alludu’ First Look Poster Hints At Being An Entertainer

Shailaja Reddy Alludu’s first look got talked about quite a bit. In the poster, Ramya Krishnan is seated while Naga Chaithanya and Anu Emmanuel stand close, as the former casually holds the latter. Ramya Krishnan plays the titular Shailaja, and is censorious of the relationship. Or so the poster implies.

A spokesperson for the film told Silverscreen that much of the filming is over. “About 80 percent of the shoot is done with. We have plans to release it by this year-end. The film is a complete entertainer and will see Ramya mam in a completely new avatar.”

Naga Chaithanya plays Ramya Krishnan’s son-in-law in the movie. “The story is a tug of war between Naga Chaithanya and Ramya Krishnan. Both of them are very strong characters and caught in between them is Anu Emmanuel. The film is a comedy, a light-hearted look at modern day relationships and the family setup as it stands now.”

Shailaja Reddy is no Sivagami (the Queen Mother from the Baahubali franchise), the spokesperson said. “While the look itself may have some similarities, both Shailaja and Sivagami are completely different women. Shailaja is driven by love of her daughter and her natural distrust of Naga Chaitanya’s character.”

Naga Chaithanya, in a recent interview, said that the film is similar to his father, actor Nagarjuna’s Allari Alludu. Maruthi Dasari writes and directs this film.

The actor’s Savyasachi was rumoured to be going in for reshoots, even as the filmmakers denied it. While the shooting of the film was wrapped up earlier last month, the filmmakers addressed the speculations wanting to re-shoot key scenes by explaining why it’s taking so long.

As reported in Tollywood.Net, the filmmakers refuted the rumours; they added that the film will have grand visual effects as the team was not compromising on the quality, so the makers would take their own time to get the best output. They also reiterated that not even a single scene was re-shot.
