Shamitabh, the second Hindi film of actor Dhanush, will release on February 6, 2015. Confirming the news on Twitter, cinematographer PC Sreeram said that the shoot would be wrapped up in a couple of days.

Directed by Balki, Shamitabh features an ensemble cast led by Dhanush, Amitabh Bachchan and debutant Akshara Haasan. Mahesh Bhatt, Gauri Shinde, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Raju Hirani, Anurag Kashyap, Javed Akthar, Ekta Kapoor and Boney Kapoor will make special appearances, while Abhinaya of Nadodigal fame plays a pivotal role.
Balki regular Ilaiyaraaja composes the music, and the movie is jointly bankrolled by Hope Productions, Amitabh Bachchan Corporation and Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films.
