Actor Sharang of Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam fame has made his directorial debut with Naduvan, starring Bharat in the lead. Shoot for the movie has wrapped up, reports Cinema Express.
The movie is a drama thriller, and took almost one and a half years to complete because of Sharang’s acting commitments. “The stunts choreographed by Vicky, who has worked in Uriyadi and Ratsasan, will be the highlight of this film,” says the director.
He also praised the actors for not having body doubles in the stunts scenes, despite the risk involved. “All the actors have performed their own stunts without using dupes. The stunts were pretty risky and despite suffering injuries, the actors, including Bharath, Aparna, and Gokul, worked tirelessly for the film.”
“Bharat had severely hurt his hand while performing a stunt sequence and was bleeding. Although it was suggested that he should take rest, he bounced back instantly and the shooting resumed. Aparna Vinod did a risky stunt sequence without the help of body double and finished it in a single take. Gokul Anand who was badly hit on the head while filming an action sequence didn’t bother to ask for rest and continued to shoot,” says the director in a report.

Bharath plays the role a father in the film, and it is set in Kodaikanal. “Bharat and Aparna will be seen as a couple, in the roles of a businessman and a teacher. The story of the film, which is presented in a non-linear narration, has many thrilling moments apart from scenes that have family drama. The story required a hill station, and hence, we chose Kodai for the shoot,” said the director in a ToI report.
Dharan Kumar has composed the music for the movie. Cinematography is by Yuva. There are three lyricists for the film – Madhan Karky, Dr Burn and Mirchi Vijay.
