Having made her debut in Meesaya Murukku, Aathmika is all set to star in D16 director Karthick Naren’s Naragasooran. Calling it a performance-oriented role, the actress counts herself lucky for starring in a film with Arvind Swami.

“I got a call from the Naragasooran team and after an audition, I was selected for the role. It is a suspense drama — and to share screen space with a seasoned actor like Arvind Swami is a dream come true for me. It is a unique script with no songs,” she tells Deccan Chronicle.
Aathmika plays the next female lead after Shriya Saran, with the film’s shooting scheduled to begin on September 16 in Ooty.
The film revolves around four characters. Sundeep Kishan, who replaced actor Naga Chaitanya, is in it along with Malayalam actor Indrajith Sukumaran, Arvind Swami and Shriya Saran in important roles. The movie will be bankrolled by Gautham Menon for Ondraga Entertainment.
