Fifty per cent of shoot for Madhavan and Anushka Shetty-starrer Nishabdam or Silence, directed by Hemant Madhukar, is complete. A first-look poster will be out soon.
The director shared a video of him travelling in a car in the US where the second schedule of shoot is currently on. The film also stars Anjali in the role of a US-based cop, and Shalini Pandey and Hollywood actor Michael Madson in important roles.

The film was supposed to begin in 2018 but the launch had to be postponed due to unknown reasons. It went on floors in March in Seattle.
The story centers on the murder of an important character and the subsequent investigation. It’s a silent film, shot in Telugu and Tamil, and is likely to also release in Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and English because about 60 per cent of the team are from Hollywood.
The film has been jointly written by Hemant and Gopi Murali. Hemant made his debut in 2010 with A Flat, and later directed Vastadu Naa Raju, and Mumbai 125 KM.
The director revealed in reports recently that both Madhavan and Anushka have performance-oriented roles. This is his first film with the two actors.
Meanwhile, Madhavan recently posted on Instagram that the entire crew of Silence took a break from shoot to watch the two-decade-old Madhavan and Shalini-starrer Alaipayuthey or Sakhi in Telugu.

Recently, Anushka Shetty also took to social media to clarify reports about ankle injury during shoot and that she was healthy and happy, and busy with shoot in Seattle. She was recently shooting for the Telugu multi-starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
Madhavan is also busy with Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, the biopic on scientist Nambi Narayanan, co-starring Simran in the lead. The film also marks his debut directorial.
