Shooting for Rajinikanth’s next film after Kochadaiiyaan is likely to begin on May 20. The film, to be directed by KS Ravikumar, stars Sonakshi Sinha as the female lead. Sinha confirmed in an interview to a television channel that she is adjusting her dates to be able to start shooting in May. “While there have been reports in media of me doing an item number in a Tamil film or a Telugu film, none of them are true. I am very excited that I am debuting in southern cinema with Rajinikanth,” she said
Speaking about the film which is being projected as a commercial entertainer, she added, “It is definitely going to be something people are looking forward to. He went into a different space altogether with animation and technology-oriented films. However, he is now going to come back to what he is loved for and I think that is going to be very exciting for his fans.”
Sources said that sets for the movie were being erected near Mysore and that the film is likely to be produced by Rockline Venkatesh with R Rathnavelu manning the camera. The second female lead will likely be played by Anushka Shetty. An official announcement on this project is expected to be made after the release of Kochadaiiyaan.
