Release of the Silambarasan-starrer Vandha Rajavadhan Varuven, directed by Sundar, C is said to have been postponed to February 1. The film was initially scheduled to release during Pongal.
According to a report, it is said that the film’s release was postponed due to post production work, and that it would release on the Friday ahead of the actor’s birthday on February 3. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding the new release date from the makers.
Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, the film is an action comedy drama starring Simbu, Megha Akash and Catherine Tresa in the lead. With music composed by Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi, the film also features Prabhu, Ramya Krishnan, Nasser, VTV Ganesh, ‘Motta’ Rajendran, Robo Shankar, Yogi Babu and others.
The teaser of the film, unveiled earlier in December, featured Simbu as ‘A badass with a broken heart’; he is seen in a fancy car in the midst of a chase sequence.

He is not immature or naive. He is the complete man. It’s not just for STR fans. It is for everybody. That’s what I told Simbu when we first spoke about the movie. Vantha Rajava Thaan Varuven has something for everybody.”
