Cinematographer Ravi K Chandran is in talks to direct the Hindi remake of Singam 3. If it happens, the remake will have Sunny Deol playing Suriya’s role. However, Ravi K Chandran told Silverscreen that the project isn’t yet confirmed.
Ravi K Chandran said, “The talks are still at a very preliminary stage. I don’t know how the news came out at this stage of the discussion.” If all goes to plan, this will be Chandran’s debut directorial in Bollywood.

According to a report in the Mumbai Mirror, “Sunny Deol was impressed with Singam 3 and wanted to do the remake in Hindi. The shoot will commence this year-end. Ravi is currently in the US working on the Hindi script and will start scouting for locations after the final script takes shape. As Ravi has worked in both Hindi and Tamil films, he has been chosen to direct the film. Thakur Anoop Singh, who played the villain in the original, will be the villain in the Hindi version, too.”
In Singam 3, Suriya played a cop who takes charge of a mysterious murder case. In the course of the investigation, he takes on local thugs.
Ravi Chandran has handled the camera for a number of Hindi films, including OK Jaanu, Ghajini, and My Name Is Khan.
