Actor Suriya has confirmed that shooting of Singam 3, directed by Hari, would commence on December 2. Speaking at the Malabar Gold inauguration in Coimbatore, Suriya added said that his film 24, directed by Vikram Kumar, was in the post-production stage and would be released as soon as possible.

Singam III is the third part of the Singam franchise, which has so far been a profitable venture for both Hari and Suriya. The third part will feature actress Shruti Haasan as the female lead, and Soori in a supporting role. Anirudh Ravichander will be scoring the music. After Poojai’s release, director Hari, along with his scripting team, had gone abroad for script discussions.
Suriya also thanked fans for supporting his production house 2D Entertainment, and Jothika’s comeback film, 36 Vayadhinile.
