Sivakarthikeyan’s Seema Raja, the rural entertainer that is set to release on September 13, will also release in Poland. It has been certified ‘U’ by the CBFC. This is the actor’s first film to release in Poland. A new distribution company named 7th Sense Cinematics has acquired the distribution rights.

The details of the release along with the date will be announced soon. This is, however, not the first Tamil film to release in Poland. Films of actors like Rajinikanth, Ajith Kumar, Vijay and Suriya have released in Poland to cater the Tamil-speaking migrants in the country. According to The Times of India, Konjum Salangai, starring Gemini Ganesan and Savithri that released in 1962, was perhaps the first Tamil film to be screened in Poland. In fact, the film’s dubbed version was screened. Ajith’s Vedhalam also released in Poland in 2015. Later Singam 3, Thaana Serndha Kootam, Baahubali 2, Bairava, Mersal, Vivekam, Kaashmora, Saithan, Iru Mugan, Thodari, Kabali, 24 and Theri secured a release in the country as well.

Produced by 24 AM studios, Seema Raja is directed by Ponram of Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam fame. The film also stars Samantha Akkineni, Napoleon, Simran, Soori, Yogi Babu, Manobala and Sathish. Keerthy Suresh will also reportedly have a cameo. It is expected to be an action-comedy-drama set against a rural backdrop.
Sivakarthikeyan plays the titular role and is portrayed as a rich do-gooder in the recently released teaser, while Simran plays the antagonist. The film’s music is by D Imman.
Sivakarthikeyan is currently working on his next project with director Rajesh. Nayanthara is expected to play the female lead in the project. He also turned producer with Kanaa, a cricket sports drama starring Aishwarya Rajesh and Sathyaraj.
