SOS Kolkata Releases First Song: Thik Bhul Bhule Aami

The makers of SOS Kolkata announced on Twitter the release of the first song of the film Thik Bhul Bhule Aami on Thursday.

Written and directed by Anshuman Pratyush, the movie features Yash Dasgupta, Mimi Chakraborty  Nusrat Jahan, Ena Saha, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Shantilal and others. The lead actors shared the announcement on their respective social media handles.

The song delves into the lives of the characters played by Dasgupta and Chakraborty.

Bankrolled by Jarek Entertainment and Pratyush Productions, the film looks like a visual adaptation of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks with Kolkata being the ground of action. Dasgupta and Nusrat Jahan belong to the anti-terrorism squad and are on a mission to save their city from terrorists.

The trailer of the film is expected to release on October 12.

The shooting of the film was stalled after the country went into a four-month complete lockdown period. Things went back to normal partially, only at the end of July after the West Bengal government permitted the resumption of film shoots in the state in the presence of precautionary measures.

Chakraborty, who is also a Member of Parliament, documented the precautionary measures that were taken during the film’s shoot on her YouTube channel- reduced crew size, usage of PPE kits, availability of masks and sanitisers across the studio.

Anshuman Pratyush is known for writing the screenplay and dialogues for films like Panther (2019), which he directed as well, Sultan The Saviour (2018), Inspector Notty K (2018), Abhimaan (2017), and Badshah The Don (2017). With SOS Kolkata, he turned producer. His upcoming projects include Baazi that will feature Jeet and Chakraborty.

Both Dasgupta and Chakraborty were last seen in Shagufta Rafique’s Mon Jaane Na. Chakraborty’s next is Debaloy Bhattacharya’s Dracula Sir (2020) which will be a Durga Puja release as well. Nusrat Jahan was last seen in Pavel’s Asur (2020).

SOS Kolkata marks the second collaboration of actors and MPs Nusrat Jahan and Chakraborty. They were seen together in Birsa Dasgupta’s Crisscross (2018).
