Soundarya Rajinikanth has said that Rajinikanth’s family will stand by any decision he makes about joining politics. For a long time, there had been much speculation about the ‘Superstar’ entering politics. However, in a seeming confirmation recently, he met Hindu Makkal Katchi Katchi president Arjun Sampath. Sampath later said that Rajini had told him he was “in preparations” to join politics.
At a promotional event for VIP 2, Soundarya told reporters:

“My father always does something only when he wholeheartedly feels that it is right. Whatever he does, he will do it at the right time. We are his family, and as his family, we will support him in whatever decision he takes.”
Earlier, Rajini’s son-in-law actor Dhanush had said, “You have seen the invite and it says no questions about politics.”
When prodded further, he said, “Do you have an opinion on why he shouldn’t? So I have my opinion too and I’ll keep mine to myself.”
Rajinikanth is expected to make a formal announcement regarding his political entry soon.
