Sri Reddy has reportedly signed a new film Lakshmi Veeragrandham, based on the life of Lakshmi Parvathi, wife of NT Rama Rao. The actress made news during the #MeToo movement last year when she leveled sexual harassment allegations against major stars from the Tamil and Telugu industries.
According to a report, she plays the titular role in the film. Earlier, there were speculations that actress Rai Laxmi will play the role. There has been no confirmation on this yet. A report in IB Times says that the film is the third biopic on the life of NT Rama Rao after NTR: Kathayanakudu and Mahanayakudu.
The film is said to revolve around the real story of Lakshmi Parvathi, and will depict her as the real villain in the actor-politician NT Rama Rao’s life. It will reportedly show her greediness and political aspirations that led his family to revolt against him.
The director of the film, Kethireddy was quoted saying that Sri Reddy was impressed with the story after it was narrated to her. He also said that the actress may think twice before giving the nod, as the character has some negative shades.
