Actress Sridevi will not be a part of the Tamil remake of Drishyam. The spokesperson for the film denied recent reports that the yesteryear actress has been signed on to play the role of a cop in the movie. Malayalam actress Asha Sharath, who starred in the original, is in talks with the makers to reprise her role in the remake. The shooting for the flick will begin in earnest from mid August. Also, a source close to the team tells us that the film’s legal issues have been resolved.
Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the movie will feature music by Ghibran. Actress Sripriya will be producing the film under her Rajkumar Theatres banner.
