Actors Shyam, Srikanth, Bharath and a lot of upcoming singers and actors will participate in Star Badminton League (SBL). A curtain raiser was held at a shopping mall yesterday, where the teams’ logos and jerseys were unveiled. Shyam, Srikanth and Bharath own teams Chennai Racquets, Chennai Flickers and Chennai Smashers respectively. The teams will practice throughout the month of December and the tournaments will begin in January. SBL is presented by Ganesh of Green Group of Companies.
Speaking at the event, Srikanth said, “Actors have always been supporting sports. Cricket has always been in the spotlight. Football is beginning to get some attention. It’s time we recognise sports like badminton too. Bharath and Shyam are my best friends. But from now on, they are my opponents.”
