Director Sriwass says his father’s dream to see his son work with actor Nandamuri Balakrishna has been realised with Dictator. Sriwass also said it had been easy to work with Balakrishna, because of his clarity of thought. “My father was a fan of senior actor NTR and had hoped that I would have the chance to work with Balakrishna someday. I’m glad it finally happened with Dictator,” Sriwass told The Hindu. On working with Balakrishna, he said, “Dealing with him isn’t complex at all, you only need to be straight and honest with him. I always believe that when in a problem, one shouldn’t beat around the bush and try to manage it by making excuses and stories”. Sriwass has also co-produced the film, a first for him. He was keen to ensure that budgetary issues wouldn’t lead to any creativity constraints. Dictator also stars Sonal Chauhan and Anjali, and releases this Thursday.
