Actors Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks will be seen together in Steven Spielberg’s next movie, The Post. The duo will be seen together for the first time in the movie, which is based on the Pentagon Papers.
The plot will revolve around the role of Washington Post in publishing the infamous and groundbreaking study of America’s accountability in the Vietnam war.

Tom Hanks will be reprising the role of the Post editor, Ben Bradlee, and Streep would be seen as Kay Graham, the publisher. The Post will mark the much-awaited collaboration of the versatile actors for the first time.
Steven Spielberg has worked with Merly Streep on A1, and with Tom Hanks on a couple of projects including the recent Bridge of Spies.
The Post has been scripted by Liz Hannah, and was initially picked by Amy Pascal to produce under her banner, Pascal Pictures.
