Yesterday, after a special screening of STR and Nayanthara’s Idhu Namma Aalu, director Pandiraj announced that the film would be released soon. The audio of Idhu Namma Aalu is expected to release in November, while the film is likely to release in December. Pandiraj was especially keen to hear lead actor Simbu’s verdict.

He further said that the producers and STR would announce the release date. Idhu Namma Aalu has been stuck in the controversy for years. The film began production in 2013, and was scheduled to release in December 2014 at one point. A fallout between STR’s brother Kuralarasan and Pandiraj over Twitter, when Pandiraj blamed Kural for not completing the Idhu Namma Aalu album in time was only one of several issues surrounding the film.
