Yesterday, actor STR announced that he would be handing his Twitter account over to his fan club, and that he would only use it ‘if the situation [demanded] it’. He further said that an actor’s connection to his fans was through ‘Quality films’, and clarified through a press release that he wanted to spend time on delivering films with good content. The actor has been fairly active on Twitter since his entry on the social networking site since he joined on December 2011. The decision came as a shock to many as the actor had registered a comeback with Vaalu after three years.

STR further said that an actor’s prime duty was to deliver films with good content. STR currently has a number of films in various stages of production, including Pandiraj’s Idhu Namma Aalu, Gautham Menon’s Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada, Selvaraghavan’s Kaan and an untitled film with director Ameer.
