In January, Vetri Maaran announced at the Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards that the makers have acquired the rights of CS Chellapa’s Vaadi Vaasal novel, which revolves around the sport of jallikattu. Following this, it was confirmed that the film had been titled the same although no official announcement was made by the production house.
Today the makers have confirmed that the film has been titled Vaadi Vasal and have unveiled the first look poster of the same. The poster features a fierce and beefed up Suriya donning a black vest and tiger-tooth pendant chain. In the backdrop, we find tribal wall carvings of animals, tools, and humans.
