Sundeep Kishen, who has acted in over 10 films in Telugu, is not new to Tamil cinema. He has acted in the 2013 Tamil film Yaaruda Mahesh and has two other films waiting to be released – Maayavan and Maanagaram. Mehreen Kaur made her debut in Telugu with this year’s Krishnagaadi Veera Prema Gaadha. She is also doing her maiden Hindi film Phillauri with Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh. Vikranth is currently filming Kavan starring Vijay Sethupathi, T Rajendar and Madonna Sebastian.
Suseenthiran will reportedly start working on this project as soon as his Maaveeran Kittu releases. The film, set in the 1980s is based on true events. The film movie touches upon issues of caste, which Suseenthiran has dealt with in his earlier movies.
