Darsheel Safary, the former child actor who played dyslexic boy Ishaan Awasthi in Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Par is making a comeback with Pradip Atluri’s Quickie. Darsheel, who is 20 now, won several awards for his performance in Taare Zameen Par, including the Filmfare Best Actor Award in 2008.

Quickie is a teenage love-story and will go on floors soon. Darsheel Safary acted in two films after his debut in Taare Zameen Par. He was seen in Priyadarshan’s Bumm Bumm Bole in 2010 and Midnight’s Children in 2012. Darsheel also participated in the 2012 edition of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
The young actor became popular in the Mumbai theater circuit after his debut play “Can I Help You?” opened in September last year.
