With OTT platforms emerging as the easiest and most sustainable means to reach global audiences, several actors from various industries have entered the medium in recent times. Though we’re yet to witness the entry of top South Indian male actors, female veterans like Meena and Ramya Krishnan to current leading actresses Samantha and Hansika have ventured into the medium apart from feature films. The latest to join is Tamannaah Bhatia with the Tamil series The November’s Story.
Bankrolled by the popular Tamil language weekly magazine Ananda Vikatan, which is also foraying into the digital medium, the series will be helmed by debutant Ram Subramanian, a former associate of director Ramkumar who is known for films like Mundasupatti, and Raatchasan. The makers have wrapped up the first schedule of the series which will stream on Hotstar.
Tamannah took to Instagram to share the news.
The show revolves around the bond forged between a father (GM Kumar) and daughter (Tamannaah) who strive to restore the reputation of her criminal father.

In a press statement, Tamannaah said, “The OTT platform is also the new playground for accomplished actors like me who are looking to break grounds with more challenging roles outside the two-hour cinematic time frame. These are exciting and experimental times in the entertainment industry. I love to get under the skin of characters I essay, and hence the longer web series format is the perfect medium to showcase my skills as it is almost like doing five films at one go. The detailing is more and one can explore the depth of the character well. I’m open to exploring more of these opportunities.”
The series has Meyaadha Maan and LKG fame Vidhu Ayyanna cranking the camera and Nishka Lulla Mehra handling costumes. The rest of the cast and crew is yet to be announced.
Actor Sivakarthikeyan took to Twitter to congratulate Tamannah and Vikatan on their digital debut.
