Teasers Of The Four ‘Queen’ Remakes Will Release Today

Teasers of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada remakes of Kangana Ranaut’s Hindi film Queen, will release at 4 pm today. Like the simultaneous teaser release, the four films too will release on the same day in February 2019, in the five south Indian states.

Producer Manu Kumaran bought the rights for the remakes. He said in an IANS report, “I hope the audience love these teasers because making these four movies altogether has been the most scary, stressful, nerve wracking and yet supremely joyful experience of our lives. I have a clear understanding of what happens to parents of quadruplets.”

The remakes of Queen will have different leads and different casts and crew.

The Tamil remake titled Paris Paris, stars Kajal Aggarwal as Parameshwari, and is directed by actor-filmmaker Ramesh Aravind. The Telugu film is titled That is Mahalakshmi, starring Tamannaah Bhatia, directed by Prasanth Varma.

Zam Zam in Malayalam is directed by Neelakanta Reddy, staring Manjima Mohan as Zama Nazreen. Butterfly in Kannada is directed and produced again by Ramesh Aravind, starring Parul Yadav as Parvati.

Music for the four versions is by Amit Trivedi, who had composed for the original Queen. All four films were shot simultaneously in Paris, Athens, Nice Frejus, St Rapheal, Mysore, Hyderabad, Gokarna, Thalaserry, Rajahmundry, Virudhunagar and Mumbai.

Queen, the 2014 Bollywood hit featuring Kangana Ranaut in the lead, was about an under-confident young girl who goes alone on her honeymoon. After he fiance calls off the wedding, she goes to Paris and Amsterdam. She gains new-found confidence in the company of new friends. The film was directed by Vikas Bahl, and produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Phantom Films.
