Recent Malayalam blockbuster, Premam, has piqued a lot of interest in Tollywood and we hear that producers are battling to acquire its remake rights.
Premam, directed by Alphonse Puthren, has Nivin Pauly in the lead role. The director’s debut film Neram, a Malayalam-Tamil bilingual starring Pauly and Nazriya, was a blockbuster in 2013. Reportedly, Premam is continuing to weave magic in boxoffice and it’s gearing up to break all collection records in Mollywood.
According to a source, three leading producers are in talks with the makers of the film, which is a coming-of-age drama. Another source reveals that Suresh Productions as well as Akkineni Nagarjuna are the front runners to grab the remake rights. While nothing has been made official yet, one can expect the news to be announced soon.
