The Thala 56 team, headed by director Siruthai Siva, is back in Chennai and is currently shooting the climax fight sequence at the Binny Mills. The team returns from a short schedule in Milan, Italy and Kolkata. According to sources, almost 80% of the film has been completed, and only two songs and a few talkie portions in the second half are left. So far, three songs – a duet featuring Ajith and Shruti Haasan, a montage song featuring Ajith and Lakshmi Menon, and Ajith’s introduction song – have been shot.
Earlier, producer AM Rathnam had announced that the movie is on track for a Diwali release. Starring Ajith, Shruti Haasan, Lakshmi Menon, Soori, Rahul Dev, Kabir Duhan Singh and Ashwin Kakumanu, Thala 56 has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander. Recent reports suggested that Ajith was quite happy with Anirudh’s work.
